11.50 Index
Brian Moody already has one 11.50 Index win in his pocket for this season, he was looking to make it #2 again tonight. He makes a statement with an 11.503 pass in the second round of qualifying to secure the #1 qualifier spot for the night.

Round 1

Vette versus Stang roll in first, Rob Farley in the Vette and Jim Richezzza in the Mustang. Farley cuts an awesome .028 light while Richezza does not with a .118. The mustang tries to run down Farley but breaks out in the process, Farley moves on running an 11.598. Ellis Gray gets the win light early as Eric Fischer goes .035 red. Gray runs it out for a nice 11.555 pass. Brian Moody decided he had enough racing for the night and heads back to the announcer's booth to plug roast beef and ridicule photographers over the PA system :) Moody goes .003 red giving Shay LaScalla the win light, she runs an 11.856. Closing out the round, Donald Amesen trees the heck out of Bill Parson, .046 to .246 at the tree. Parson does a great job of running down Amesen, running an 11.521, but he could not make up the deficit as Amesen takes the win with an 11.638. All of the races so far in 11.50 were decided at the starting line.

Semi-Finals

Donald Amesen gets a small lead on Rob Farley out of the gate, then runs a great pass, an 11.556 with an .031 light, great package. Ellis Gray nails the tree with a .011 light and Shay LaScalla never caught up. Gray goes 11.621 and joins Amesen in the finals.

Finals

Ellis Gray versus Awesome Don in the finals. Ellis drills the tree again with a .020 light, Awesome Don no slouch with a .042. Ellis runs another great pass, an 11.535 for the win. Awesome Don not too shabby with a 11.576.

10.0 Index

Chris Cassidy in a black S-10, a new face to 10.0, takes the #1 qualifier spot tonight. No surprise to see Mike Romeo and Chris Ely right behind him, two racers that can play the game quite well.

Round 1

Much like 11.50 Index tonight, all of the pairs in the first round in 10.0 Index were decided at the starting line. First to the line, a pair of Mustangs, Chris Ely and Paul Cottone. Paul goes red by .024 while Chris has a nice .051 light and 10.036 pass, if he keeps that up he will do well tonight. David Shen goes red by .029, giving points leader Mike Romeo the win. Shen throws away a 10.063 pass while Romeo goes 10.078. Rob Killian goes .019 red against Louis Andrighetti. Louis sees the red, takes his time getting going and clicks it off a little early for a 10.324. Chris Cassidy in the black S10 runs waaaaaaaay fast on his single, a 9.445 @ 135mph. Mike Beck didn't make the call, something broke in his car.

Semi-Finals

Mike Romeo and Louis Andrighetti made up the first pair of the semis. Mike trees Louis big time, an .072 light to Louis' .315. Mike has his head on straight sees he is way ahead and clicks it off early, a 10.354 first to the stripe and for the win. Mike goes on to yet another final round. Finishing up the semis were two racers named Chris - Ely and Cassidy. Cassidy's truck was #1 qualifier but went way fast in the last round, he slowed it down but not enough. Cassidy breaks out with a 9.985 while Ely runs a great pass, a 10.023, earning his way into the finals.

Finals

Chris Ely and Mike Romeo have made it to the finals, two of the nicest racers around these parts! Chris was quick on the tree all night, except where it needed to count tonight. Mike gets a .055 second advantage over Chris off the line, something that Romeo will always make an opponent pay for. He does, Chris goes a quicker 10.039 but Mike's holeshot gave him the win with a 10.063. Mike has all but locked up the championship in points in E-town's 10.0 class.

8.50 Index

We saw a few extra faces in the house tonight for 8.50, with the Shakedown at E-town looming only 2 weeks away and some folks came down for some testing. The car count for 8.50 Index will be through the roof this year, expect to see the local boys out at the top of the field! Joe Alagna goes #1 qualifier with a nice 8.520 pass in the first round of qualifying. Shawn Gallagher goes #2 for the night, the Gallagher brothers always competitive in 8.50. Many teams were figuring out their tunes as the air was nice and cool, most guys are set up to run 8.45-8.50ish, so they needed to figure out the sweet spot for tonight.

Round 1

Joe Alagna gets things going with his single pass, he earned it with the #1 qualifier spot tonight. Alagna saves stress on the motor and coasts along down the strip. Scott Derenzo and Jason Penna made up the first pairing for the round. They both leave about even, Derenzo does another nice wheelstand but Penna is dialed in and goes 8.527 to move along. Mike Conway and Gary Romonoyske are up next. Both put up nice lights, Conway .037 to Romonoyske's .040. Gary runs a nice pass, an 8.592, but Conway does better with an 8.545 to move on. Ali Buscio leaves .030 behind Shawn Gallagher. Gallagher runs .004 too fast, advancing Ali after her 8.658 pass. John Goss smokes Wiso Melendez at the tree and the stripe, with an .074 light and 8.564 for the win. Al Jr. got on the throttle and the transbrake decided not to come on, his technical difficulties result in a deep stage and Bobby Moran gets the early win light. Bobby runs a nice 8.561. TJ Kasper was set to race Harry Gerb, it would have been great. Harry didn't make it due to some transmission problems from the second qualifier. Kasper goes 8.521, they seem to have the car dialed in nice. Rich Bruder does not make the call, giving Brian Ferrari a single. Ferrari runs it out and he also has the car figured out for tonight, he runs an 8.514 with an .049 light, a nice package.

Round 2

Ali Buscio gets a small advantage on the kid, but Kasper goes 8.521 to Ali's 8.553 to move along. Brian Ferrari and Joe Alagna rolled up next. Ferrari cuts a nice .027 light but has problems at half track and costs along. Alagna checks his mirrors and dumps it where it counts to get a pass to the next round. Jason Penna trees Mike Conway big time, with an .045 advantage which is huge after round 1 in 8.50 Index. Penna throws it away as he breaks out with a 8.468, Conway does too but is .008 seconds behind with an 8.476. Bobby Moran has some problems as he sits at the starting line while John Goss takes off. Goss lifts, and goes 8.638.

Semi-Finals

First pair to the line is TJ Kasper and John Goss. Goss inches into the beams, but keeps on inching and doesn't stop. He goes in second but goes deep a split second before the tree drops, fouling out and giving Kid Kwik a pass to the finals. TJ keeps the pedal to the metal and goes 8.448. Mike Conway, who qualified last place, took on the #1 qualifier Joe Alagna to finish up the semis. This was a great race, both racers leave about even but Alagna runs a good amount too fast with an 8.413. Conway goes 8.538 and heads to the finals against TJ Kasper, these two racers have been battling it out all season at the track down south and have brought the battle to E-town.

Finals

Both Kasper and Conway get staged up. The tree drops, and Conway takes off after a nice .046 light. TJ was forced to watch from the starting line, as when he mashed the gas, his throttle cable snapped. A disheartening runner up for Team Kasper, Mike Conway takes the win with an 8.623.

Seth, For the shakedown, we will work those radios in. There's gonna be alot of chatter on channel 1 and 2, but we'll make it work. I think the radios have a few other channels, never even paid attention  but that will definitely be a huge help. There's also texting if nothing else works...
