PINKS All Out Picture Gallery
Well, I am sure you will read about everyone else's experiences from PINKS.. the gallery above shows the view through my lens and also Joe's lens for the event.
We arrived at about 10am to a packed house, I peeked over at the spectator parking and it looked packed, I can't imagine how it was once the place filled up for the main event later in the day. The PINKS staff sure as hell put on a full day of drag racing for everyone.. each of the participant cars got 2 test passes on Saturday before the final 16 were chosen. To kill time before the main event, some exhibition races went on, featuring 8.50 Index cars, Outlaw 10.5 cars (Newsham vs. Lynch a big highlight there), and even a wheelstand contest which was overwhelmingly won by a certain white Chevelle.
All in all, I had an awesome time. It is certainly good for the sport we love to watch to have so much popularity on TV and also put asses in the seats at the local drag strips to check out the racing. I am glad they ran the exhibition races, they gave some good press for the Outlaw and Index classes to people who may have not known how exciting those races were.
I am beat from a weekend full of racing so that's pretty much all I have to say.. thanks to the PINKS Staff for taking care of our Crew and Members this weekend! Thanks also to Harry over at H&J for having flyers for the site available at their area and promoting the site..
and of course, congratulations to all participants and of course our members that made the sweet 16

good night folks, and enjoy the pics -- hope it gives a good overview of the race for those that couldn't make it in person
