stripped starter bolts!!!

i was trying to remove my aod trans from my 93 gt and while i was trying to remove the top starter bolt it stripped. i try using bolt extracters and there is just not enough room between the bolt and the starter to get on it straight. what should i do. thanks

cut the head off with a torch(or any kind of cutting tool you can get in there), remove the trans & then remove the stud.

Or heat the head of the bolt & try to get it with vise grips.

Heat ALWAYS works..but sometimes too good so be careful.

thanks for the advice i but i attempted to lover the trans with the starter in and the housing around the starter bolt snapped off which is no biggie cuz the starter was going anyway
