does anybody know how to measure stroke on and engine when the cranks is stll in block
i measured from the bdc top of piston to deck and get 3.55
due i calcualte to piston dept in the math
or can i do it with rod length and compression height tks jimmy

Re: how to
you should measure it in mm(millimeters) to get the most accurate measurement.
but yeah. I assume you have removed a head. BDC to TDC will give you the stroke. Is this a modified engine? If so you should also check rod length. You could have 2 of the same engines side by side with the same stroke measurements, but different rod length & piston pin heights. But to check length you need to remove the rod & piston anyway.
