carb size suggestions
I am new to this page so any suggestion will be helpful. I'm also new to drag racing, this being said I have a 468 bb chevy with 292 rec port heads vic jr intake 13.5-1 comp and a crane f-256 cam the truck is a 88 s-10 that weighs 2700lbs th350 trans 4.11 gears with a 31-13.50 tire. Not sure what size carb to use I have been told that 950cfm would work others said 1050cfm .

Re: carb size suggestions
thanks for the reply. the truck is for strip use only, I don't think the motor will have to turn over 6600-6800 rpms max. I have a 1050 dominator but wasn't sure if the motor needed that much carb

Re: carb size suggestions
I wouldnt stick a dominator on it just yet because of how small of cubic inches are. Put a 950 on it, what style victor JR do you have? Is it a square bore? or a or like a 4150 dominator bore? If its a square bore then this would be perfect for your truck http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-0-82951/overview/
