RPM activated switch
Just curious how many of you guys you MSD "window switches" the RPM activated switch they have...I swear by them. Even in an automatic. In a Stick shift, it would be mandatory.you never know what the hell can happen, its good to know that shit will shut off outside of the rpm range chips you put plugged
you guys all use them?

Re: RPM activated switch
I use the RPM Activated Switch for the electric shifter only, nitrous is WOT, connected to a relay and then to the transbrake button...

What happens if you popped broke something in the driveline and the motor shot to the moon on the squeeze?

Re: RPM activated switch
As soon as I let off the throttle the nitrous is off, but if such a thing would happen, heck, bite your tongue and let it happen and buy a new motor...I guess. But a good point there Mike.

Just curious. I would think if you shift your car at 7400 or whatever, that you would have a window switch for the N20 and an rpm limiter for the motor set to 7600 just to save the parts. I would think just the rpm limiter could cause quite a pop once your rpms dropped before the spray stopped.

You my attention Mike, I'm gonna talk to Steve Johnson about a setup, good guy there.
I shifted at 7200, but the cam will change things a little.
You might have saved a motor here.

I shift at 7700 and the motor goes somewhere around 8000-8200 through the traps. My rev limiter is set at 8500 and my window switch for the nitrous is set to 8400. That way the spray is off BEFORE you start dropping cylinders to limit RPM. I also have a window switch on the low side set at 2500 RPMs in case the motor bogs on the line it will shut it off instead of blowing the carb off.

Re: RPM activated switch
NEVER TRUST A 100 RPM DIFFERENCE IN CHIPS !!! OHM TEST THEM TO BE CERTAIN . AND NEVER LET ANOLOG OVER RIDE DIGITAL THE DELAY IS ENOUGH TO OVER LAP AND """BANG""" THE REV LIMIT HITS BEFORE THE NOS IS FULLY OFF

Re: RPM activated switch
Going to run a WOT switch to activate the window switch in turn giving juice to the nitrous relay. It's an msd digital window switch. Gonna set the lowside at 3000 and high side at about 6600, 200 rpm before high side chip. Any thoughts?
