lifter bore and sleeve on BBChevy

Post by prost67 »

I'm looking for a machine shop in eastern PA or southeastern PA. I had 3 roller lifters go bad. the cam is just starting to show wear and is fixable, but I took some pictures of the lifter bores and a friend said one looked like it had a crack. I checked it out today with a magnifying glass and sure looks and feels like a crack.
Thanks for any info.

Doug Meyers (automotive machine) he can do bushing's if the crack doesn't go into the water. I would get it magged first to see if in fact is cracked. Might just be a score from the lifter. If it is cracked you probably will need a new block.
