I need some help, i currently have a roots blown 383 chevy and im looking at upping the ante, i was looking at a Procharger but im unsure how much extra power it will give me the motor currently makes 830Hp with 20lbs boost on C16, i havent turned the boost up any further but im guessing it will go 900hp but heat is the biggest killer she gets hot and falls away on the engine dyno if we do back to back runs.
A few specs on the old girl:
Brodix CNC track 1's flowed 315cfm int, 252CFM exh
8.5:1 comp
solid roller 252@.50 INT and 260@.50 EXH on a 110 LSA
2" primaries into 3.5 collectors
How much more horsepower would i make strapping a F2 to it blow through and running a air to water setup ?
Procharger help

Re: Procharger help
I took a 871 off a SBC-400 with a 248-260 cam with 300-234 cfm heads and 7.8 to 1 which made 748 on c16...I installed a street size Vortech (YSI) which is close to a F1 the power jumped to 1004 hp without redlining the blower,I would say a F2 is worth atleast 250 more, which would be atleast 1350....This is on a blowthru with no cooler...Coolers are worth 100-200 more.....OLDHEADPS; Are are right about the heat1BENT8 wrote:I need some help, i currently have a roots blown 383 chevy and im looking at upping the ante, i was looking at a Procharger but im unsure how much extra power it will give me the motor currently makes 830Hp with 20lbs boost on C16, i havent turned the boost up any further but im guessing it will go 900hp but heat is the biggest killer she gets hot and falls away on the engine dyno if we do back to back runs.
