Nova vs Ranger..LOL

I saw this ep. last night on the FX channel. I am sure it is a few years old. But hey I cannot choose what they show here.

I must say. I was SO disappointed with this, it was horrible to watch.

A '75 Nova with 350 & 202 heads vs a Ranger with a 302 & IIRC 180shot N20 & slicks.

I thought to get on PINKS at the time of sign-up you needed a running car. I have watched quite a few times where they had problems the previous night & had to work out some bugs. but the ranger owners JUST PUT THE TRANS IN THE PREVIOUS NIGHT. They couldnt even hit 2nd gear because the shifter was hitting the floor..WTF???

PLUS even when they notched the floor to be able to shift they had WAY TOO MUCH N20 & kept backfiring. Not to mention every shot they showed of the Ranger driver, while going down the strip, he was huddled against the steering wheel with his arm across it, like you do when you are casualy driving down the road. There was just SO much wrong with this ep. 2 cars LUCKY to run 14 sec 1/4's, non-negotiating, un-tuned horrible ruuning, slapped together SHIT.

I so wanted my 1/2 hour back.

If you think it looks bad on TV you should have been there to see it in person, The camera makes the nova look slightly fast....yeah right 17's maybe
