Have you worked on a Mac?If you do then fine but for a PC user It sure as hell ain't as easy as they say it is.
It takes some tweaking just to be able to view videos online, the mac mail software sucks, for example when someone sends you mail with an attachment and sends it in rich text format all you'll see on your mac is winmail.dat which you can not open with out extra software and even then it ain't easy.
I recommend using the mail program included in the Office package it's a lot like outlook 2003/7 and works great.
My father in law bought a Mac recently and I spent a LOT of time on it.
One more thing download flip4mac it's a must have to view most online videos, forget about windows media player for mac it sucks.
For making movies and such I like my pc software (ulead video studio 11) alot more then Imovie.

hey poncho I actually used ulead videostudio 10 to make this and I do like workin with the program, its just that theres something not right with my computer somwhere..Ive asked so many people, had so many different problems..juust never been able to do what I wanna do...For example my computer wont even read my firewire..Like you know how you plug something into your computer and the menu comes up and asks you what you wanna do....I plug my firewire in and I get nothing...For me to put videos on to the computer i need to use the s-video cable along with a usb wire....makes absolutly no sense..when I show people how I gotta do things they look at me like Im crazy, meanwhiles it the damn computer thats crazy...I hear you on the mac thing I have stayed away from them for years in fear of not knowing how the hell to use them...but as time goes on I hear more and more positive things about them, I figured it will be a lot different but it all takes some getting used to...thanks for the heads up tho..Ive just been dying to get a dvd out there and this pc's basically been holdin me back..wish me luck...lol

Carey, kudo's on still wanting to do a full set, you deserve it just like Arnie should.

I'll still swear by my PC and Ulead 11, bugs are fixed, dunno why it's not recognizing the firewire input, your stuff on the disc you sent me was great on the TV, very clean.

Mac software isn't cheap, either is Adobe premiere which is what you really want.

Carey,if your PC has a built in firewire that came with the PC when new you might have a driver issue.Windows update can cause a lot of issues,on one of my pc's windows update want's to install a sound driver update.if I install it there is no sound and VIA4inOne has to be installed again, just an example.
You should just buy a new firewire pci card they are about $79.

Poncho, good call, I think I will look into that before goin to look at spending a lot more money on a new mac...Its definitly a driver issue, just don't know why I cant get it fixed. Another example - When I put in a blank DVD, it is only recognized as a CD :x

I have a solution for that one too  Last year when I was in the US I bought myself a sony external dvd burner for $119 best money I've ever spent on anything pc related:

So for under $200 your all set
