Good eyes R/T!

but I am pretty sure it is an A/S class car, and running 9.97 I think it would have to be a 427 which would be '69 only...

But I could be wrong! Might be a 396/375......and could be a 67/68 if that is the case. I will look around and see if I can find out in a bit-

The 67 Yenko Camaro had a 427 in it. Very rare Camaro
As well as the Nickey Camaro. Also a very rare Camaro.
I don't see the owners of those car beating the shit out of them..

Very true R/T about the Nicky and yenko cars.....but to run stock eliminator the car has to be offered by the factory, dealer options aren't legal.

I looked around you tube and found what appears to be this car running top stock at Maple Grove, and it was a 68 for sure. Then on class racer just now I read a post by the driver of this car and he has a red 69 pic for his avatar....lol.

if Doug (I/sacamaro) happens to wonder through here he can prolly tell us the deal...but I think you are right, this car in the vid is a 67-68.

Kurt were you at Ok4wd over the summer with your Cutlass? I saw one that looked like your sig. photo drive by in the lot. I wanted to check it out up close but those violent T-storms rolled in and everyone took off. If it was yours from what I saw it looked real nice.

Thats a nice video! I can't get enough of watching how other drivers drive from inside the car.

I shot this video of myself 6 or 7 years ago at Atco one night to see if I could learn anything from it. I positioned the camera ahead of time at home to get my hands and feet in the frame along with the tree and a decent view out the front. If I had a better camera at the time it really would've turned out much better. I shot this with a digi still camrea that has a movie function.

That is Steve Ficacci's bad arse '68 Camaro A/S car with the 396 c.i.-375 hp combo. He has been in the 9.8's since with it. He and Rich Adkins Shelby Mustang with the single 4 bbl 428 A/S is about as fast as Steves car.

Thanks for clearing that up Doug, I figured you would know better than anybody, lol.

Guys, I gotta say...if you like watching heads up N/A muscle cars you just can't beat going to Indy for the US Nationals. There are class cars everywhere, and on thursday they run class eliminations...all heads up, 4 speed cars all over the place...had to be 7 or 8 A stick cars and even more A/SA......180 superstock cars were on hand, close to that many stockers too. and the best race of the year IMO is the
Hemi Challege on Friday. Last year there was 32 SS/AH cars, sticks and automatics combined in their own class. very cool to watch these cars buzzing 8.60's heads up. Wheels up, banging gears and flyin'!

If ya go to Indy I am easy to find. I am the first one there, and the last one to leave :D

Yes, that was me. My buddy Chuck works there, and I also know Scott Embley through Chuck. Thanks for the compliment on the car. I got the car loaded into the trailer just as the thunderstorms hit. The rain came down in buckets that evening
