Weather was hot and muggy tonight.. my thermometer showed 117 degree surface temps at 6PM eventually going down in the low 90s once the sun went down... I saw some skinny people sweating their asses off so I know it wasn't just me
First off, the 10.0 class. The show ended up being a 16 car field, with a nice turnout of cars looking to qualify. As you can see in the results below, drivers were cutting some good lights all night long! Not only that there were many passes pretty damn close if not right on the money at 10.0. In the end, #5 qualifier Mark Plucinski took home the win in his Mustang, sporting a 10.030 pass w/ a .011 light. Congrats Mark!
On to the 12.0 -- another field of 16 cars going into eliminations. The #1 qualifier in this field also did not make it past the first round like the 10.0 index... showing how anything can happen! #16 qualifier Mark Mueller took home the win, his final pass was a 12.003 w/ an .042 light. He was cutting lights .03 and less all night. One notable pass during eliminations were Walt Haas in round #1, running a 12.000 with a .008 light -- damn!
well I'm beat and don't have much to say -- on to the pics! Congrats to the winners! Thanks again to the Atco staff for a fun night of racing as always.
