Trans Fittings

Post by Split-N-It »

Can't remember who mentioned the part number on the old site,...but I need the right fitting part # for a 400 trans case to -6AN. I believe it was a 1/4 NPST fitting. Can't find it anywhere! The fittings that came with my kit was NPT - -6 AN and I want to get the right fitting for the trans case which has the straight thread.

I don't know if this helps or not, but on my powerglide, the threads are a 1/8" npt, but as you know, they were cut straight, not tapered and I didn't want to take the chance and crack the case out trying to thread in a npt fitting. So what I did was take the original fittings that were on the tranny and used a fuel pump fitting. It was made by Aeroquip and the size was 1/2"-20 x 6AN and I got the from Summit.
Maybe this will help you out?

I ended up searching all over,...ended up finding it at Pure Choice Motorsports on the net. They've got other adapters too for different cases to AN fittings. The one I needed was 1/4 NPT Straight Thread to -6 AN....They're Pt # is 12075. Thanks for the reply...
