What cooling fans?
What cooling fans do you guys run.I have a 14 inch 2,000 cfm fan and it's not doing the job for my race fuel 427.I was looking into two 10 inch 2,100 cfm fans. What do you run?

Re: What cooling fans?
2500 Cfm S-Blade Flex-a-lite in a 3600# GM A-Body. I hardly use the fan. It fit within the factory shroud, I have a factory (new) 3 core radiator and theres enough air moving at speed to keep the coolant temp down.
I run a CSR electric pump.
My engine used to run hot all the time. I took the engine down over the winter and had my piston to wall clearance opened up, rod side clearance was checked and adjusted as needed, and had my builder order a set of rings from total seal.. he spec'd the ring package, file fit and checked the pull once installed to see what type of poundage was required to move the piston assy. up the bore. (the tighter, the recip assy, the more friction and heat.
Mines a 362ci motor w/11.0 compression w/ iron heads. I run 2 gallons of 110:5 gL. 93 pump gas.
The clearances were what fixed my running hot problem.
I run .0062" w/forged heavy azz TRW's/ .018-.022" rod side clearance.
Oh she goes.. she goes like a son of a biatch
