seen a couple people not following the rules .
i will no longer attend any 12.0 races , everyone that races the class is cool but some can't even follow the few rules they have , tired of feeling like a cry baby tattle tale (even if i don't say anything )
have fun fellas , good luck

I race in 4 different point series and I have never once been inspected to ensure my car meets the class rules. Yes there is the track tec for NHRA rules but that's it. Most places leave it up to the racers to police themselves. The RAM racing series I run with gives a one race exemption for most infractions but all of them are pretty strict about major infractions such as slicks in a DOT class (if someone brings it to their attention). For something like that I would let an official know about it but only after I said something to the driver first and give him the chance to do the right thing... withdraw from the class. Interiors and mufflers I would just mention to the guy that he should look over the class rules. A lot of guys hear how much fun these races are and want to see what it's all about, so don't feel bad about helping someone out so they can fit a Class and continue racing with us.

i raced at one RAM race and liked it , i like the way Rich runs the race , most of them are a little to far for me to travel

I feel your pain... there are a few cars in the 10.0h and 12.0h that clearly don't read the rules, I've never said anything, cause i'm sure if someone wanted to nit pick my car they would find one or two things.... perhaps. but I think your cutting your nose off to spite your face. you and i both know how fun the 12.0h is, kenny if you ever see that again, let me know if i'm there, everyone knows i'm more than willing to open my mouth.

a buch of guys do it with out trans brakes, and no one has a throttle stop i would hope. Really a .500 pro tree is the same thing as leaving off the last amber. if your are truely leaving of the last amber on a full tree then your setup will be the same on the .500 pro. of course if your guessing or counting down on the full tree then you not going to do so good on the pro tree. a few days on a practice tree and the .500 pro tree is a peice of cake.

KAB check you PM's later, gonna send you something that i want your opinion on. :chevy:

Ummm, i know the rules. I won a bunch of 12.o races a few years ago. My point is, no one in the class is using an electronic throttle stop. My throttle stop of choice is 3 to 400 lbs of sand, no big deal. i never said you were complaining, my thought is why give up on a fun class because of a transbrake you don't need, and a throttle stop you can't use? as for the 12.15? there has been many times that a 12.08 was the bump with 16 cars, just means the competetion is good, thats the best kinda racing. Either way all i'm saying is don't go giving up on a fun class, many times they are running 28 and 32 cars. i was actually trying to encourage the fellas on this thread who think they are done with the class to give it another shot, don't jump on my case, cause i'm not jumping on yours.

yup , great bunch of guys and a whole lot of fun

my car was having trouble running the number in the heat but think i got it now

as far as rules , if i see it i would say something to the car owner first time , friendly like , i don't think it give them an advantage and this is supposed to be fun , not pro-stock .
but if the same guys keeps showing up ????

something would need to be said to management
"your only as good as your last round!"

I liked it better when the class first started with no trans brakes. As always things change and maybe not for the better. We were all in the same boat when we just foot braked. It should have stayed that way!!! Just my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i didn't like the transbrake cars at first , but it kind of forces you to get better
i can cut a descent light , i just need to work on getting good lights consistently

THEN YOUR ASS'S ARE MINE :D

still would like to see it geared more towards street cars :beathorse:
