anyone have an idea how the self dimming mirrors work ? my '05 silverado suddenly seems to have a dark mirror on the drivers door , always looks like nite in that mirror while the passenger side looks fine .
not sure if its a simple fix like making sure its got 12 volts or its a sensor problem ?
any help?

most likely a sensor problem. going to have to replace glass.
