WOW what a nice day over at Englishtown yesterday for some holiday weekend racing... Was hot out but we got a break with the humidity which made for some great spectating! I am still enjoying my holiday weekend so my yapping will be short today.

The Top Sportsman race which is always killer, and brought about an impressive car field. This race has turned out to be one of my top choices this year, as these cars are lightning fast and they put on an awesome bracket race to watch. Sponsors were Select Performance, Proline Auto Body, and the Kaufman Organization.

As for Ultra Quick 8, busy weekend for this class! 3 of the teams from Sunday raced consecutive days at 3 local tracks.. WOW! In the end, #1 qualifier Hollywood Johnson ran up against #2 qualifier Jerry Morgano, with Jerry taking the win. Congrats!!

Thanks as always to Englishtown for putting on a great race and giving us the privilege to cover the races.

Also E-town staff might want to check the burnout box for LSD or something?? Some crazyiness going on this Sunday, more detail here :)

What a great day at Englishtown Raceway Park we had 32 cars enter. Number one qualifier Joe Dunne ran an impressive 6.49 along with John Prime and Todd Fontana well into the 6’s.

The final came down to John Stampfl from Brooklyn NY and All Campbell for Blairstown NJ. Both racers have been to the finals before at these E-Town races and both have runner-ups under there belts, but John left little room for chance with a.009 reaction time to take the win.

Congratulations to John Stampl and crew for a job well done.

Special thanks to our Sponsors
