Re: chrome paint?
We have a system at our shop that looks identical to chrome. You are not gonna get anything close out of a can.Alsa sells it in half pint for like 300 bux and all you get is a jet hot look at best.We stopped doing it for a while cause we had a bad batch of material and stuff was turning gold. They since changed the product but were waiting it out for a few months to make sure everythings good. Its a 8 hour process and material is crazy expensive so we dont want any redoes due to product failure. If you can wait a few months we can do it.Price is equal to conventional plating but we can do anything !!! Precision Paintworks ask for Jim (856)303-1455............This is a ten thousand dollar system that must be baked in a paint booth for any of you guys thinking it a do it yourself thing.

Re: chrome paint?
hmm, funny i come across this thread tonight. now don't laugh, but i was watching some t.v. tonite and the only thing that was half way good to watch was "pimp my ride". they just so happened to do a show where they did a 07' mustang for a girl in pistachio green with chrome scallops. the chrome was applied with a spray gun and the finished prooduct was hard to tell from the real thing. i don't know if it's the same process as harlqnstang is talking about but it might be worth looking into. the shop who does the PMR stuff is galpin auto sport, gas for short and they are somewhere in california.
good luck

Re: chrome paint?
It may be the same system that pimp my ride has. There is only 2 systems out there that are working .Maybe 3 not sure if alsa perfected theres yet.Ours is a pressure pot type with 4 tanks. They are 3 different guns you use.The one that sprays the chrome mixes 2 chemicals as its spaying and thats what makes it work. Its a very meticulous process time consuming and expensive but the results are awesome. We have a golf ball we did you can bounce it all day with no chips or scratching.Very durable !!!
