11.50 index???
How about that? I feel like there are many more cars running 11.50. Now that 11.50 is the cutoff e.t. for a required rollbar it seems that there are more cars running in that area.
I think the 12.00 index is an awesome class, brings cool cars. I think e-town is cool for having an 11.00 index, but I feel like there would be a lot of people/cars interested in an 11.50 index.
I myself don't anybody at atco or e-town, but if there was enough interest from people on this site, who knows...
It seems as though in other parts of the country, down south mainly, a track or racing organization will try anything just to bring more cars out. There are so many people that just go out to test and tunes, but if the tracks offered a wider selection of classes and/or events for people to participate in, I think it would generate a lot more people participating.
That is just what I am thinking, I know there is always bracket racing and I think that form of racing has some of the best racers in the world, but some new things would be cool... Like saying "I'm gonna build a car for this new 11.50 class or this new 275 radial class".... Also, how about instead of an outlaw radial class, how about a limited radial class.
Something to ponder in the off season.

Re: 11.50 index???
You missed my post earlier where E'town is actually combining their 11.0 and 12.0 to create one index at 11.50.
Bam, you got what you asked for

Re: 11.50 index???
Atco usually is Thursday with one Sat and Sun. I have heard some folks saying Atco might be moving to Friday.
Cecil is new for '09 and they have said every third Satruday of the month.
E'town, like Cecil and Atco, have yet to release their '09 schedules so we don't have dates for them yet.

Re: 11.50 index???
grrrrrr
just saw the etown schedule?
after lobbying to get index racing here they kill the 12.0 and make it 11.50?
i cant run under about 11.65 -in good air - and i don't want a roll cage and i don't need to step up anymore in this economy
guess i continue to tow from around the corner from etowns gate to atc , cecil , etc.....

Re: 11.50 index???
Personally I'd rather it stayed at 12.00 because you just took alot of cars that can't go that fast out of the game. Hopefully the E-town and Atco races don't run on the same day for you guys that run both tracks. It's nice to see all three tracks running these index races. Having more chances and more seat time will really make a class that is already tough even tougher.

They do not run on the same days at all.
See the schedule I listed here viewtopic.php?f=29&t=8367 for Atco Cecil and E'town

The tough thing about racing Atco is you Mr. Harvey!!
I'm just glad that CJ moved up to 10.oh
I'm gonna get you this year though LOL and maybe next year I'll go gunning for CJ!!
There is no doubt in my mind that the best racers I have met run the oh's at Atco.

Sounds like you got a nice truck, how does it do towing the hot rod?
BTW did you ever get that little device installed under the gas pedal?

Re: 11.50 index???
REDGAR-Thanks for the info, that's good now we don't have to worry about losing the car count.
Road Runner Kev-Thanks Kev but after racing you I see that you are no slouch yourself. As a matter of fact it seems like every race I have is a close one. You can't count anybody out in this class.

Re: 11.50 index???
I had an Avy for a while. Towed the open trailer fine. Once it got over 100k the tranny went. Had it redone but was never the same. traded it in for a Silverado 2500 HD with the druamax. I am way over trucked right now but when I move up to enclosed, I am ready.
Good luck with the Avy

Who is this Harvey guy????????
Who is this UNK guy? We never saw an UNK guy all year at 12.00
It doesn't seem right with you not there anymore. It's just not the same. Come on back everyone misses you.
