All of my winter projects *Updated*

Post by BigRedMachine »

So I picked up some rollers over the winter and completed some old projects. This is where im at right now

Started off building this 69 Chevelle that I completed a couple months ago.
Image
Built a Vortec 355 for it along with a TH350. Mild Street car completed

Next thing was to turn my 68 Chevelle back into a street car. Pulled the 13:1 383

New engine-still needs some cleaning up in the engine bay

Nitrous added

Car is running and driving

Picked this car up as a roller. Installed interior. Finished the engine. Getting ready to install in a few weeks.

And last but not least the car I picked up this past weekend, My 1985 Mazda RX7.

Engines out. Conversion mached up and ready for the new engine

Started building my 406 to put in the car. Car is also getting a Mini Tub, Ford 8.8 rear, 6 point cage, and of course new paint job. More pics to come in the next few months. Been a busy off season to say the least.

have a 383 for the camaro all done. The 406 for the RX7 wont have a problem with pullin panties. Its a pretty stout motor in a 2500lb car.

P.S. I dont have a big garage, Desimone Cadillac does. I trailer most of my bigger projects over their so I can use my lift.

Were not dead at all, and were not a union shop. Were allowed to work on our own cars after hours and on saturdays. Technician working hours end at 4:30, and im usually there til 9pm every night doing my own cars when I have something to do. Im also there just about every saturday working on my cars as well, and when im not im working on another car at the house.

Nice motor choice with the camaro. I have a 383 in mine. Let me know how yours works out. What are you doing to the drivetrain?

I try to keep busy as much as possible. Glad to hear your getting close to done with your motor. We definatly have to meet up down the track, but from what I hear you have something a lot faster then me. and Whitesell's doin alright I suppose.

I wasn't implying we had to race...just catch up, besides I have nothing for a 13:1 383 (that just sounds badass), I'm just building a respectable streeter.

I dont have 13:1 383 anymore. That motor is long gone. Chevelle is a 355 street motor with camel hump heads, hydraulic cam, and 10:1 compression. and a little nitrous that has no activation switches hooked up. will run low 13's or somethin like that. I got tired of the race gas, and I just wanted to drive the car like I used to. I bought the RX7 to build something nasty. still a mild street motor, but the car doesnt weigh anything, so it will go. I wasnt insinuating that we were having a grudge match or anything, and yea we should meet up at the track and catch up.

I think im going with the slowvelle this sunday if there open again. Needs a little fine tuning

Hopefully I can get this engine finished and in the car by next week, so i should start testing while im waiting to do the back end and cage. Chevelle should be ready to go to the track sometime in the next two weeks.

Cool projects, I like that little RX7 and that 69 Chevelle is a nice looking car. Good luck with them all.

I can hardly afford to finish 1 project!! (well 2 if you count my streeter)
