Gates open at 4:30 PM and first round will be 6:00 PM at the earliest.

Rules say DOT tires (no slicks) does not specify front or rear. The way I read the rules all your tires should be DOT approved (guess it depends on how you interpret them). The class is supposed to represent a street car, not a race car.

If you call 856-768-2167 and press 2, the tape will be updated everyday to let you know what time the gates open and when first round is projected to start.

Do the 10.0 people all park in the same area and if so, where? As long as my front tires are legal I'll be there!

we usaully park close together but with these big pay out races going on, parking is sometimes little difficult. I think I might park behind the timing tower this time.

When looking at the rules I was thinking you were a 12.0 Index driver, not 10.0. That would make more sense to run race tires on a 10.0 Index car. Even though the rule book says the same for each class about DOT's only, no slicks. Does not specify which tires. (I know you run slicks in the rear, well for most people).

So many people run those 165R cheapo tires anyway that are DOT approved but completely unsafe to race with. I have never understood the mentality of spending all your hard earned cash on a chassis, motor, trans, rear and safety equipment to have it all ruined because you wanted to save a couple bucks on front tires. I have been witness to more than one car crashing because the tread separated on the front tires. I specifically remember it happening to a little Starlet through the shutdown. Those little cheap tires just gave it up at the end and sent the car in the wall. Those tires were never meant to go that fast or have to have that much weight on them. Actually the 165R tire was designed for the original VW Bug. One of the slowest and lightest cars of all time.

I'm not picking on anyone but just remember it's only four tiny pieces of rubber that connect you to the ground!! Be safe out there!!

Sorry if I hijacked your thread. It would make complete sense to me for you to be able run whatever tire you wanted to in the front in the 10.0 class. Come out, have a blast and good luck!!!
