Yeah, thats true. But with the amount of cars that will be there, it wont really help with cool down or anything. It takes a good 20 minutes before your next pass usually anyway.

I have a feeling it's gonna be a good bit between passes. I forsee alot of cars running.

Since the 25-5 is out of the budget for this year I'm looking to average in the 8.50's but I'll take an 8 anything.

well i konw paul plans on upgrading for the race at atco so no need for the bs wavier.... even i dont like that idea even though i am on his team... his fastes5 pass at the super bowl was his last pass which was a 8.32..... so dont be surprised if your last pass is better than the first.... i think the three quickest averages r on a budge-it paul and mr hockey

I wouldnt be counting on any waivers if i were you. Not gonna fly this year...

I think if Mr. Ferrucci was given one last year, This year we should get the same benefit. If not Marc should have been the real winner of last years race, I felt that all along. I know in the past some have been disqualified for not having a NHRA licence and went into the 9's. Why the special treatment at Joliet??

NO i won the race and had the fastest car in testing and worked my ass off to win!!!!

I was given no special treatment and had no idea my car was going to run 8.50 or better...my best pass before that race was 8.76.My car earned the 25-5 and now its getting updated. When i was in joilet i brought it to tech and the true street cordinator that i went 8.28 in testing and they said u are all set to let it go this time...
sorry but what will be your excuse if i win in atco with consistency???cheating?

bring your car to atco and see how hard it is to win one of these races..not as easy as some people may think

Hey Mr Scriv, As far as it being BS, it's only because Paul had one last year and may not need one this year. I would expect that you would respond like you did ONLY because you help Paul.

Paul I never said you didn't work hard to get your car running that fast, that is a great that you got what we call street cars going that fast. All I said was that, yes, yes you did recieve special treatment at that race and if you go back a couple of years when your car overheated they let you still run just to see if your average would be the fastest.I was almost not let to race because I forgot my insurance card. What I said about Joliet was since you did go faster than ever before, they should have told you to slow it down (8.50) and you can still race. So now I say How about any of us that didn't get a 25.5 will we get a 1 time special treatment? I doubt it and yes I know its hard to win one of those races and yes I also earned a 25.5 chassis cert. So see you at Atco Blue Chevelle-Silver strips. :P  :P

No, When I said I earned a 25.5, I was saying that yes I also earned the right to have to upgrade the chassis by going faster than 8.50. Make sense?

not really. i was supprised that they let him race. but with that being said that was in the past i really dont think they should waiver something like that no matter what.

8.50 is a great class I have no knocks against that but my goal has always been to go as fast as I can with what I have to work with. I would like to keep on going faster. I might run 8.50 this year but I might try getting trashed in drag radial for a while even though that is 1/8 mile. Maybe I will just run test and tune.

I'm just trying to break the ice you guy's should get those cars 25.5 just to be safe. At least you have a class to run in this year I should be running in the mid 9's no class for me this year. Maybe next year I will have to build a 8.50 motor. ;)

Exactly. Tell your brother and Paul that. They "earned" a 25.5 upgrade.........what's that? They bought a different body and suddenly earned the right to be safe?? I am confused. Not too many people spend the money if they aren't running that fast though and I probably wouldn't have either.

Marc is confused?? What else is new!!!!

I have to agree on the safety issue. I would like mine to be 25.5 as well but I spent all my car money for upgades this winter. So it will have to wait. I'll stick to the 8.50 stuff maybe dabble with the radial 1/8 mile but if you can't run a 5 teen you better stay in 8.50. At least you can dial it in,not have to lean on it and go rounds if your good on the tree.( no pun inteneded Marc  ) Hell you can at least get back you entry fee!!!
