8.50 cert is good untill 8.50 and has been deemed safe for those ets, 25-5 is the next step but think about it its an large money step ($2500-$3000). if you cant afford it you are stuck but 8.50 index still has the excitment of heads up racing people just want to see cars leave off the pro tree wheels in the air...paul congrats on your efforts and keep up the good work and we will see you in june at atco for true street stop by and say hello....

Re: NMCA ATCO
Well the motor and trans are finally back in. Apparently on the last pass last year when the front of the car came back in contact with the earth it bent one of the headers uniformily right into the starter solenoid and positive cable terminal. I have to pull the header back off and make some clearance. I need to find a starter with a remote solenoid so I have some space. The chassis gets certed tomorrow and then it is off to Executive Auto Body on Friday for a splash of extra color.
Then a little wiring, a little plumbing, a little interior work and maybe it will be out the week before Atco.

Re: NMCA ATCO
The radio doesn't have to work but if it is required in your state for inspection to work it should work.......lights, neutral safety switch, horn, signals etc. They do check them all when they tech you in.

For you guys that plan to drop the laundry please make sure you have someone help pack in the staging lanes so we can get your runs mad in a timely manner. Thanks for your cooperation. This event will probably be the best ever for the class it's going to Awesome.

Atco has about a mile long shutdown area and unless you are going for pictures or going 200 miles per hour you probably don't have any reason to pull the chute........unless you are looking for some extra cool down time.

Re: NMCA ATCO
I'm fully aware about the shutdown area at atco I've raced there myself many of times . Some guys just have a habit of letting the shutes out and I wanted to give them a heads up. We have had problems at other tracks guys taking to long to pack there shutes and holding up the program. Also before the racing begins I like to pair up the fastest two cars in the pack and run them first to start things off right and if you would like to pair up with someone just let me know and I will make it happen. It makes a better show for the spectators to see the fast cars run each other. Look forward to seeing everyone next weekend we will be at the track on Wednesday afternoon to start are setup for the event.

Re: NMCA ATCO
Just trying to keep things moving Jeff. I know you are aware of the shutdown but other guys might not be. I guess they will find out on their test runs. Glad to see the pairing of the cars by ET. Good to see something we discussed on the board being done.
