Where should I go from here

Ok car went up in smoke at 1000ft mark yesterday. I put it up in the air today found a dime sized hole in the oil pan. Now should I drain the oil pan or should I keep it in there so whoever I have take it apart can look at it?

keep it together if you are gonna have someone else redo it. Most likely you either broke a rod (crappy powdered metal from the factory) because of fatigue, or detonation. Or you broke the oil pump/shaft and lack of oil/shrapnel did the rest in. Figure out what you want out of the car, what you can honestly afford, and what exactly happened to kill the mtr.
