Call me a crybaby but I think Atco really ruined a great thing with the index races this year.

Let's see, Friday night traffic down Rt. 73 in the summer?

A race on memorial day weekend?

A race on July 4th weekend?

No index races at all in June??????????

Don't even get me started on the whole qualifying mess....

Personallly thursday nights worked great for me, didn't interfere with family or weekend stuff, holidays, shore traffic.

So there's my rant, the bashing may officially begin now. Call me names, call me late for supper, I don't care...C.J. and I will be there either way. Oh yeah; except for July 30th...that's my oldest daughter's birthday and I wouldn't miss it for all the Drag Racing in the world. But C.J. WILL be there hammerin' on the 10.00 guys....So look out!

Whats up Dave, Well The way the rain has been, I don't think it matters. Poor Sway's are probaly ready to take some sleeping pills. But anyway friday is better for alot of people who have to work, and as for me, ive been playing in the band alot, so i have to miss a couple myself. 73 traffic sucks, and family things always happen, so it is what it is. calm down, and take a deep breath, and have a stiff drink. lol

Dont forget labor day weekend.
Definetly was easier on thurs, now i have to take car to work in thorofare instead of going all way up rt 73 at a friday rush hour. which takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes from maple shade.

I'm lucky comming up from the south on 73. Shore traffic is going the other way. By the time we get out of there the shore traffic is just about done. I don't mind Fridays nights since I don't have to get up as early on the weekdays (5am). I don't like that most of the races are shared with the $5000 races. Parking was tuff when you get there at 5:30.
I want the old qualifiying back.

I hope next year's schedule is different, maybe this post will help. They say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Then again sometimes that backfires and the squeaky wheel gets REPLACED!

Hey Dave, with all the dragsters showing up early are you and CJ going to park in the same place? Let me know, I'll save you a spot. Planing on leaving early in case the traffic causes major delays.

Yep Kev, we'll be hiding out with the Harvey's. Friday's are always a thrash here at the body shop to get cars completed and delivered so C.J. will be picking my sorry azz up around 4:00 here in philly, I expect we'll arrive somewhere around 6:00

Yes Jim, C.J. is a much tougher man than me. It took about 20 years of serious beatings from him until I finally saw the light. Plus I'm really a street-racer at heart, we need to stand around the McDonalds parking lot for 4 hours whining before a race actually happens..then it's 4 burn-outs and 20 dry-hops....

He just buckles in and gets the job done......

Dave, Your taking it all wrong, nobody hates walt, he is a great guy, always happy, very pleasant to talk too, but i would still like to drop a lude in his coffee, to slow his reaction time down. lol

Nobody hates Walt! He is absolutly one of the nices people you could ever hope to meet. The isue is... we've had 2 races and he's won both. So now he has a big target on his bac!!! It sucks to be in the lead because everyone is out to get you

never been there on a fri nite and it looks like its gonna be crowded
gonna try to get there stupid early too eat lunch on line or something , think just my gf's son is comeing with me but she's off work fri and might decide to go so it might get complicated
should be on my way down by 3 or so after work , cut thru the back roads and avoid most of the crap i hope and only take an hour+ or so

Tony we've been parking on the back side of the tower. I'll be there early too.
