TH400 manual Low problem.

Just had a TH400 built. Has stock valve body with unknown shift kit cuz it had already been into(shift improver) when I got it. The tranny did everything fine as far as gear selections , but was getting weak so I had it redone. NOW when I manually pull it into low gear to hold it, it starts out in either second or third gear. L2 still lets it start out in low and go to second, and Drive works fine. It’s just the manual low gear that is giving problems. There were only two check balls left in the valve body from the previous shift kit. I do not know the brand or which of the 5 ?? original balls are still in it. . ONE may have got installed in wrong channel. It’s either that or a valve got installed backwards. ANYONE have any experience with TH400 that could help here? or have me PM the guy who might be. thanx, crossy
