Just put a SHORT bolt in it to plug it. The fuel pump pushrod is behind it. If your not running a mech. fuel pump you can put anything in it.

if the bolt is 2 long it will bind the fuel pump rod against the block

Well i took the old fuel pump off and i moved the rod up and down with my fingers so its fine, put a new pump in and it works great.
