PUMP GAS LIMIT

In your guys opinion, whats the biggest shot you would safely spray a fogger with pumpgas without detonation? Motor is a 9:1 BBC with autolite 3924 plugs and aluminum heads. thanks, Brian

THAT WOULD DEPEND ON CAM,GEAR AND CONVERTER !!! IF YOUR STREET GEARED AND CONVERTER IS WAY TIGHT THAN YOU CAN WITH THE RIGHT TUNE PUNCH 300 SHOT . IT IS ALL ABOUT PISTON SPEED AND DWELL AND CAM TIMMING .DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT FUEL TO BURN ANT THOSE LIMITS . HAVE DONE IT WITH A SHORT ROD 377 SBC AND NOS CAM AND HEADS BUT IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO IT .(PUMP GAS WARS)

FORGED PISTONS. I know people at the track have sprayed otherwise, saw a kid with a white stang last yr telling me he had 100 passes on hypereutectic pistons god bless him then... Forged Pistons or your liable to get into some trouble. nitrous pistons/gas ported always a plus.

DONT EVER PUT A HYPER -U-CRAPTIC PISTON INTO A DETONATION PRONE SITCH. THEY DONT TAKE IT WELL AND ITS PROTEST WILL BE YOUR MOTOR AT MIN. ..... GOOD SOUND ADVICE .. A STOCK SOFT ALOY CAST WILL LAST LONGER .
