what is the horsepower limit of a 4150 style carb
gasoline , naturally aspirated

I know of several real fast N/A racers still using 4150's. Charlie Booze comes to mind with him running in the mid/upper 8's with his SBF. I'm pretty sure his engines make in excess of 900 hp N/A. I know the one class he's allowed a dominator, yet he still chooses to run the 4150.

I see lots of claims of picking up 20-30 hp switching to a dominator, but that doesn't guarantee it'll run quicker. The choice is very much combination dependant.

Patrick at Pro Systems talked me out of buying one last season as he felt I was on the border of making enough power (approx 740ish) to effectively use a dominator. I tried a borrowed one, didn't pick up anything and I didn't care much for the low speed drivability.

nmra pro stock cars came to mind , i know they made over 800 hp , but i wasn't sure if they were limiting their potential with a 4150
a friend is in the final stages of finishing his car and we were discussing if it was worth using a 4500 or not , mostly because of drivability
