New 572 and heads. Long Block? - SOLD

Post by MonsterBash »

This has been sold

Hey all..
Newbe here looking to get rid of some parts and possibly a car (71 Mach1 Mustang tube car). I've been out of racing for about 10 years so forgive my ignorance if I price something stupid...and feel free to correct me

About 10 years ago DynoFlow (las Vegas) assembled me a 572 block and heads. It been sitting on my engine stand since I received it in my climate controlled garage. It's wrapped up...every fall I would unwrap it...oil it down..then wrap it back up

572 cid (4.5x4.5) Brand new long block

Here's what I remember about the build. I have the reciept..just gotta dig it out of the office. The idea behind the build was to have a relatively low RPM motor for street use using good fuel (110). Peak horse power was to be at approx. 7200RPM and about 850HP with a big tuned 4 barrel (1150ish+) or a dual four barrel setup. I planned on spraying another 300ish over the top of the 850HP, so the motor was specked out for that. The guys at DynoFlow had this exact setup which this motor was copied from and made just under 850HP with 2 800CFM carburetors on there enigne dyno. Everything in the engine is new

New Merlin II block ~ tall deck
Eagle Rods
Eagle Steel Crank
13:0
Grumpy Jenkins heads ~ CNC ported and flowed
Custom ground cam. No idea the actual specs. . .I may be able to fine them
All ARP fasteners
Assemble in engine stand

There is no intake, oil pan, or timing chain. . .maybe this considered a short bock with heads? The motor was assemble by DynoFlow

I'm looking to clean out some stuff before we move later summer

Looking for $5500 cash..paid over $8,000 with shipping. Note really interested in any trades as this is a downsizing move
