I have a mechanical aluminum water pump(Weiand 8242). Does anyone know if it can be rebuilt? If so who can I send it to.

Yes, you can rebuild it. I used the Moroso pump kit to rebuild my Weiand pump. the kit comes with enough parts to rebuild it twice. Just did my small block pump. I think the kit is the same for big and small as only 1 part number is listed.

Jegs part number is 710-97255, it's $13.99

One note. Pull your pump apart first, if the shaft on the motor is badly rusted then you will need a motor also. I've had two of these pumps, 1 it was just the seal that was bad, the other the shaft was badly pitted.

motor part number is 710-97257 it's $99.99
