Holley 650DP with Proform main body

What would keep the engine running if I close off the idle mixture screws on the front??

How far are the rear throttle plates supposed to be open??

I have 6.5 PV in front and rear that came int eh rebuild kit I just put in from Holley. Could I not have enough vacuum to pull the PV's shut?? Cam is a 292/302 adv dur and .488/.510 lift. I never had an issue with it before, but swapped from camel hump heads to Iron Eagle 200 and just can't seem to get something right???

I can post more details if needed, just looking for general direction of problems right now.

Thanks
James

Does the carb have idle screws in the rear also, or only the front???
I personally keep the secondary side throttle blades just a wee bit off of the seat.

Was this the same carb on the engine when it had the old heads on, or did you change something in the carb at the same time you changed the heads???

The P/V has nothing to do with the idle circuit. They are 2 totally different circuits in the carb, unless it’s ruptured and allowing fuel on the main body side of the metering block that’s not the issue.

power valves are known for leaking exspecially with the winter time additives in the fuel up north ... also you could have a vacume leak a minor one could do that
