The weather almost cooperated today.. had a brief downpour but the track staff brought their a game as usual, dried it up pretty fast. Unfortunately a lot of fans (and some racers here and there) called it a day before that, but racing went on anyways
Quick 8 --
Joe Newsham took home the win, on a single run in the finals. In the semi-finals, Steven Kluepfel had a single run.. I'm not positive what happened but Steven rolled through the beams before the tree was activated which ended up as a DQ, giving Joe the single run in the finals. Rich Scioscia was slated to race Kluepfel in the semi-finals but did not make it back to the beams after the rain delay.. The cars were running good even with the extremely high humidity and track temps.
Congratulations Joe!
