Ed, If you have the room you can mount it inside the car. This will allow you to run a shorter feed line.

If you put them in the drivers compartment make sure you have blow off tubes exiting the car in case of a blown burst disc.

i like to play it safe , usually pile up some jackets behind the driver seat and prop the bottle up on them , then i cover it all up with the last one, then i ease the seat back so it doesn't move around :D

if we could mount the bottle on the solenoid, we would. closer to the solenoid the better, less pressure loss through length of the line.

I would put it in the car where the passenger seat was, you will use less nitrous with the shorter lines.

I think it looks better in the truck/back hatch of cars...when they sit next to the drivers seat..IMO it just doesn't have as clean of a look.

But i understand...the closer the bottle to the plate...the better.

I have my bottle right on top of the drivetrain tunnel in my 1988 Firebird. Lets me be able to turn the bottle on and off even when fully strapped-in. Good thing too! I had a purge solenoid stick open one day. Would have lost the entire bottle, besides looking like a moron dumping it all on the line! You MUST have a blow-down tube exiting the car, though that is no big deal, as long as your bottle is empty. You need to put a different disc and fitting on the bottle, but well worth it.

A 60 something jet. They also fly 28 feet, landings are so gracefull though, they also have cast oil pans, which do not make good skid plates.
