Ok..

So here are some instructions for Windows XP users on how to publish photos to your GoneDragRacing Gallery, directly from Windows Explorer. This should make it much easier for people that are not so good with computers..

First, click on this link and RUN the file. It is a file that inserts configuration items into the registry on your computer in order to upload directly to the gallery -- it is SAFE to run!

So, that is all you have to do to get Windows ready, now on to how to publish.

Open up windows explorer and browse to a folder that has pictures. On the left side you will see an item called "Publish this folder to the Web" or if you just select a few pictures, you'll get the option to "Publish the selected items to the web."

At the "Welcome to the Web Publishing Wizard" window, click Next"

Image

In the "Change Your File Selection Window" make sure you check any pictures that you wish to upload to your gallery and hit Next

Image

At the "Where do you want to publish these files?" window, highlight http://www.gonedragracing.com and click next.

Image

If this is your first album, you will be prompted to Create a new album. Enter an Album name and click Next. You will be notified that your album was created.

Image

If this is not your first album, you can pick an existing album or create a new one. Make your choice and click Next.

Image

At the "Do you want to adjust picture sizes before publishing" window... you have the option to make the pictures smaller. If you try to upload some ridiculously sized image, the web site will resize it anyways.. so you can either pick Large or just uncheck the "Yes, make them all this size" box. Click Next and the pictures will get uplaoded.

When complete, the finish window will come up.

Now your files will be available in your picture gallery. Click they gallery link from the forum and click on "My Gallery"

Image

You'll see your image gallery listed.. voila

Let me know how it works out! This should be better for people that upload a lot of pics

Seth, congrats, it's the best way to do it, quick and precise, no more allowing only like 10 or so at a tme too.

The program is integral with the newer Vista already and it is safe completely for your comp. Gallery 2 uses the same method and I loved it.

Guys, this is one of the best ways to add your pics and stuff to the goneDragRacing Galleries.

I gave it a shot and after clicking gonedragracing.com it ask me to log in. I used my forum login info but could not connect.

Web Service Error
The wizard could not connect to the Internet, or the Web Service returned a wizard page that is not valid

PEBKAC is an acronym which stands for "Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair".[1] The phrase is used by computer experts as a semi-humorous[2] way to describe user errors.

Other variations are POBCAC ("Problem Occurs Between Computer and Chair"), PIBKAC ("Problem Is Between Keyboard And Chair"), PEBCAC ("Problem Exists Between Chair and Computer"), PEBCAT ("Problem Exists Between Chair and Terminal"), PEBMAC ("Problem Exists Between Monitor And Chair"), PEBCAK ("Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard"), or EBKAC ("Error Between Keyboard And Chair"), PICNIC ("Problem In Chair Not In Computer"), and PEBKAM ("Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Monitor") which is where the user would appear on a system flow-chart if they were considered part of the machine as a processing component.

Ahh don't share IT secrets :)

I saw this in the log

Error: Selected album does not exist or you don't have permission to upload in this album

I think you are picking the wrong gallery when it asks you which one to place the photos in .. double check that. if you try to upload into one of the site galleries it won't let you
