I posted this in the wrong place - - oops.

Any help would be appreciated.

Changed my ignition to the newer MSD 7AL 2Plus and switched to methanol at the same time: all work done by a pro shop. All I did was pay for the work.

In third gear the car's tach (Autometer) goes nuts and the hand jumps up and down like crazy.
They checked all connections and all seems well. All I can think of it putting in a new coil wire in case the car is seeing EMI but it didn't before; but before I had a very old MSD unit. The wires are Magnecores.

All ideas, thoughts appreciated ( new tach ordered ). Who knows?

your green tach wire should go directly to the new MSD box, is that how it is?
