edlebrock carburator question
i have a 750 edle carb. i don;t think i am getting enough fuel, horrible bog when mashing the gas. do not have the jet kit or metering rod kit, and replace carb soon. my question is can i remove the metering rods with out blowing anything up. because i have removed em and it seems to run very good. any info would help.

From all the Edelbrock carbs i have seen on the dyno they all are on the rich side. You need to get the kit and tune it up.

Re: edlebrock carburator question
i thought it was lean, could have been wrong. pulled the motor anywho, and using a holley on the new motor. it had a bad bog the i couldn;t get rid of, with more or less fuel. also i wasn;t gaining mph with better air, or losing with bad air, so i figured i need more fuel in the better air, but don;t wanna buy the tune kit because it was just a temporary carb.
