Tire size

Post by mightymouse0355 »

What size tire can you fit under a 93 mustang at a max without removing the qaud shocks?
What size can you if you do remove them?

i have 28x12.5 et street..which is like a 10.5 et drag basically...they are mounted on a 15x10 inch wheel with 6.5bs and with a little beating soon they should fit fine lol..NO QUAD SHOCKS..i had 275-50s on it before with the quad shocks though.

275 ET street radial is a good choice The 50 (26") is a little wider than the 60 (28") If you really need to keep the quad shock flip it around so the fat end is closer to the inner rim side. A good tire ussually fixes the tire hop, if it dosent a half way decent set of control arms will.

B.s. for 10" rim is 6.5

B.S for 8" rim is 5.5

Ive put 275 BF drag radials on factory rims and retained quad shocks no problem even with 4 people in the car.

i had 275 50 15s on a 15x8 weld draglite with 5.5 bs with no quad shocks and worked alright and my friend wanted to use them for the track and put them on his car with the quad shocks still on there and burnt up the inside of my tires from rubbing them..when he pulled up to the light in front of me looked and smelled like he just did a john force.. lol asshole so he had to take them off..

I dont want to hyjack this or anything but i want to put a MEATY rear tire on my 92 notch, i looked into the 15x10 draglite and someone said with the 6.5bs and rolling the lip and BEATING the piss out of the inner area i could fit a 315, all i really want is atleast a 305 street tire, not even a drag radial since itll be a daily driver. any idea?

I think I'm probably gonna just go with a 15x8 with a 275 because I can't find a drag lite that is 4 lug and 15x9
