okay so i need some help on choosing my spark plugs. i have a sbf 331 w/11:1 comp. using 110 octane fuel w/ 40deg. of timing. the car has run well set up like this. with it being like so i am using ngk v-power plugs part number r5671a-9. which is equivqlent to autolite ar3933.
i am only looking to spary a 100 shot at top end seeing as how it's only a factory stock block and i am close to running out of rpm (4:30 gears and 28" tires)
so with that being said what would you guys "in the know" recomend. should i go colder or no?
also not to ask to much but with the car running n.a., are the plugs i am currently using a good heat range??
thanks guys

I would run 8's on the motor and 9's should be fine on only a 100 shot.

I agree. We normally run -10s with our set up which is a little bit more than you are spraying,

, and I run -9s on the motor. I have actually run -8 at an NMCA True Street event loaded for bear and didn't hurt anything, but I wouldn't recommend it. I am glad I had them in though because I don't think I would have made it through the cruise with the colder plugs.

I run the -9's normally, will shoot up to 125hp with no problems.
I have run the -10's on motor, but they really don't get clean enough for my liking. On the juice they clean right up though!
Never tried -8's. Motor has EFI so dirty plugs are never a problem for me.

I run 8's on the 200 shot, no problems here.

I can't help but think that is alot of timing for a SBF. I had a 347 with 11:1 on pump gas and anything over 33 degrees it lost power. Guess it's your race gas.

Not for a 200 shot. Stick to boost

Your wrong. You should be running a -9. And I will stick to boost, you stick to watching my taillights disappear!
