any 2 stroke guys out there

i have a 250 polaris 2 stroke done some engine work ,, piston, bored, head shaved, since work done i have no full throttle, just boggs down at top end,,,need help. thanks steve

Choke? Plugged main jet? Do they have a power valve setup? It could be stuck killing your top end. Had an old KX250 that would break the valve and loose some top end, but it did not have a bog. Try a fresh spark plug. Could also be the muffler needs repacking. Bad ground on the coil.

i took the carb apart twice, clean jet and rod,,, did think about the muffler , but never took apart, dont think i can take this apart to repack, but will look again, also no heavy smoke from exhaust thanks.

gameracing had a triple sled moto dragster the more port work and piston mods can kill em. you do we learned the hard way that the pipe tune makes the powerband and its range . too big and no top end . stock pipe on mod motor too much back psi no top end if all else is good look there

its a long straight pipe from head to the back of seat then the muffler on the end ,, i will take what packing is in there out and try it again,,, thanks for all the info ,,will let you know.

your state of tune may require a expansion pipe with a volume to match your combo's rpm !!!
