Possible 10.00 Race in late 2008
I had proposed a $1000. to win 10.00 Index race for late 2008 with a $100. entry. I now have a sponsor who is interested as well. The thought was to make it simple, No tube frame cars, no throttle stops, no delay boxes, and must have some type of mufflers. Would probably be in Maryland, unless another track stepped up and wanted to help promote. Probably an all run field up to 32 cars. Who would be interested?

As long as it doesn't interfear with any other races .... I can't speak for everyone, but I'm sure the crew of about 8-10 that I hang out would be glad to go.... Conciedering that atco droped a few races, we are looking to fill some spots...

As Drunk stang said, just as long it dosen't interfere with other races I am in and I think the rest of the gang would be too. Try to pick a track thats in the middle for everyone if possible. Maybe Cecil??

Matt count me in, see if Cecil would give it a try at one of the Street Car Shootouts.

Is Deep Staging going to be allowed? I can't hit the tree with my gears/glide/convertor. Can hit it just fine Deep. Have mufflers and run E-Towns 10.0 Index Class already. Also run slicks (29x10) which are not allowed at Atco. Post the rules so people can see if they can do it or not.

What date are you looking at? I go up to Bel Air MD to visit friends a few times per year, would like to bring my sled with me to run with y'all-

I am looking at Sept./Oct. as a guess. I am confident I can get in at Mason Dixon, any other track would need to be negotiated. Only rules I'm looking at right now are what was already posted. Probably run on a .500 Pro Tree so footbrake and transbrake would be on even ground. Right now I'm trying to get feedback, but as posted a sponsor is already lined up to help out with payout. I'll see some of you in the next few weeks (hopefully Atco and then Ram at Cecil in April).

Re: Possible 10.00 Race in late 2008
I'm sure it will be at least the end of April before a date can be pulled, as I'm still chasing sponsors for the MSRA series and preparing for our 1st event. Just wanted to get the word out so people can talk and see what interest there is (so far seems positive). However, I do have a list of all Index races going on in the area, so no schedule conflicts should happen ( I hope).

Nice Matt! Can wait to here the details! Nothing like a big money 10.0 race to cap off the season.
