wider tire on a 3.5in rim?

was wondering if anyone ever put anything wider than a 165/15 tire on a 3.5in wide rim? Got a great deal on a set of draglites for my girls camaro and has skinnys for fronts, not entirely sure if she'll be ok driving it with that narrow of a tire up front

I wouldn't. a 165 tire is already 6.49 inches wide and you have it on 3.5 inches.

the 165 and micky 5.5 are doughnuts on a 3.5 rim . a 165 -205 work of 5"
