Can't help ya exactly but just a heads up most people will tell you just don't go more than so and so lift and you'll be fine....that's wrong, one of the biggest converns is the duration, you can have a HUGE lift cam but if the duration makes the valves open when the piston is away from the valves you'll be clear, but you could have a small lift cam but if the duration makes the valve open when the piston is high enough they're gonna hit...No matter what cam you use you should check the piston to valve clearance anyway....but just getting that out there seems like some people think the lift is the only concern when picking a small enough cam for a motor....and another is the cam timing, advancing it, retarding it etc...

But being a stock 302 any moderately sized cam is going to be a waste with those stock restrictive heads and intake on it anyway....at least it would sound good with a lope

mostly with a 302/318 cubes when you get that "sound you want " the rpm power band is so high you cant use it.
the best cam choice is what your use and combo wants .if you pm me with alot of your info i can do some iterations and syms and get you a grind number you'll be happy with . comp just came out with a asymetrical cam profile to give alittle better sound w/o loosing power. it's the dump truck noise your trying to get away from that builds torque and moves you out!!!1
