Hei question

I just changed my distributor in my 71 c10 from points to the Hei, I was wondering what should I gap the plugs at and what timing degree should I set it at. I did put a Msd 6a box in it too. The truck is bone stock with only 58,000 miles on the 307 so its not a hot rod what so ever. Thanks Mark.

with no vacuum advance hooked up you should set full advance to 32 deg. then ck your base time at idle ad see if your above 15 .
the 12v feed needs to be cut and taped off or trigger a relay to feed alt/battery voltage to the big feed on the hei .most points had a resistor wire and a crank volt only feed ya cant use either our your hei will die above 2800 or hard start/stall .
